Cerelac....Home-made

Multigrain cerelac for 9 to 24  months babies Ingredients : Rice -1cup Wheat -1cup Toor dal -2tbsp Masoor dal -2tbsp Mung dal-2tbsp  Urad dal-2tbsp  Chana dal-4tbsp  Green mung -2tbsp Ragi-3tbsp Almonds -12 Cumin seeds (jira)  Azwain PROCESS:: 1.mix all ingredients  2. Wash them and let it dry completely  3. Roast it in a pan 4. Now grind it Keep it in air tight container. This stays good for about 8 week HOW TO USE:: 1.Heat 1/2 cup of water 2.Add salt to taste 3.Add mixture to boiling water 4. Stire it well,  no clumps   please 5.Cook it for about 10 minutes, now cerelac is ready

Mango -stuffed-Rabri

Ingredients: 2 - mangoes few strands of saffron 1.25 litre full fat milk 1/3 cup sugar- Instructions: Pour milk in pan and bring it to boil on a low flame. Reduced the milk until it becomes half.  Add sugar and saffron and cook for 1 minute. Now keep the kulfi mixture aside and let it cool. Now take some good ripe mangoes. Cut off the top and tail end of the mango, and stand it on a flat surface. Slowly, carefully, mark the part where the seed is, using a sharp knife. Little by little, loosen the seed using the knife, and pull it out with your hands. You could use a pair of tongs for the same, too. Make sure you don’t remove too much of the mango’s flesh along with the seed.  Also, make sure you don’t create a hole in the bottom of the mango, in trying to remove the seed.  Stand the mango inside a small glass, and place the crown on it. Ingredients 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds 1 tsp Chana Dal 1/4 tsp Hing 10-12 Curry Leaves 1 tsp Ginger finely chopped 1 tsp Green Chilli finely chopped 1 Dry Red Chilli broken 4-5 Cashew Nuts 1 cup Rava 1/2 cup Curd 2 tbsp Carrots finely chopped Salt to taste 1 tsp Eno Fruit Salt Instructions Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and chana dal and fry for a few seconds. Add hing, curry leaves, ginger, green chilli, dry red chilli and cashew nuts and fry until cashew nuts turns slightly brown. Add rava and roast it on low flame until slightly browned. Remove the rava in a bowl and let it cool completely. Add curd and carrot in the cooled rava and mix well. Add some water to make idli like batter. Cover the batter and keep aside for 15 minutes. Fluffy-Pancake

INGREDIENTS 2 cups all purpose | plain flour,  1/4 cup granulated sugar or sweetener 4 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 3/4 cups milk, (440ml) 1/4 cup butter, (60g | 2 oz) 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 1 large egg INSTRUCTIONS Combine together the flour, sugar (or sweetener), baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large-sized bowl. Make a well in the centre and add the milk, slightly cooled melted butter, vanilla and egg. Use a wire whisk to whisk the wet ingredients together first before slowly folding them into the dry ingredients. Mix together until smooth (there may be a couple of lumps but that's okay). (The batter will be thick and creamy in consistency. If you find the batter too thick -- doesn't pour off the ladle or out of the measuring cup smoothly -- fold a couple tablespoons of extra milk into the batter at a time until reaching desired consistency). Set the batter aside and allow to rest while heating up your pan or griddle....
