Varat Wale tikki//sweet potato tikki//healthy tikki

 


4-5 medium sweet potatoes

1 tbsp cumin powder 

2 finely chopped green chilies

1 tbsp Sendha Namak 

2 tbsp cooking oil or ghee

 handful of finely chopped coriander leaves

INSTRUCTION

 

Firstly, Boil Sweet potatoes in a pressure cooker for 1-2 whistles and then switch off the flame. 

Once the pressure pan cools down, 

Once the sweet potatoes cool down, peel off the skin.

 mash all the sweet potatoes with a masher.


Now add cumin powder, rock salt, finely chopped green chilies, and coriander leaves in the mashed sweet potatoes.


Now shape them into small tikkis and keep them on a plate.

Heat a nonstick pan, add oil, and place all the tikkis on it and cook it on one side till it becomes brown.


Shallow fry sweet potato tikkis on both the sides till they turn brown in color and are cooked evenly.

Once done garnish with fresh coriander and serve it with Vrat green chutney.
