Here’s a simple and tasty recipe for Makhana and Apple Shake — perfect for vrat (fasting):

๐ŸŒธ Makhana & Apple Shake (Vrat Special) ๐ŸŒธ


Ingredients:


1 cup makhana (fox nuts/lotus seeds)


1 apple (peeled and chopped)


2 cups chilled milk (use boiled & cooled, or almond milk if preferred)


1–2 tsp sugar or honey (optional, as per vrat rules)


2–3 cardamom pods (powdered)


7–8 soaked almonds or cashews (optional, for creaminess)


A few strands of saffron (optional)



Method:


1. Dry roast the makhana in a pan till crisp. Let them cool.



2. In a blender, add roasted makhana, chopped apple, soaked nuts, sugar/honey, and a little milk.



3. Blend into a smooth paste.



4. Add the remaining milk and cardamom powder. Blend again until creamy.



5. Pour into glasses, garnish with saffron strands or crushed dry fruits.




Tip: Serve chilled for a refreshing vrat drink.
