๐ฅฅ No Sugar Modak | Jaggery & Coconut Stuffed Milk Powder Modak
Ingredients
Milk powder – 1 cup
Grated coconut (dry coconut powder) – ½ cup
Jaggery (grated or powdered) – ½ cup
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Milk – 2–3 tbsp (if needed)

๐ฅฃ Method
1. Prepare jaggery syrup
In a pan, add jaggery and 2–3 tbsp water.
Heat till jaggery melts completely. Strain if needed to remove impurities.
2. Cook coconut & jaggery
In the same pan, add the jaggery syrup and coconut powder.
Cook on low flame till it thickens slightly.
Add cardamom powder. Keep aside to cool a little.
This is your stuffing.
3. Prepare milk powder dough
Heat ghee in a pan, add milk powder and lightly roast.
Add 2–3 tbsp milk and mix well to form a soft dough (not sticky).
Let it cool enough to handle.
4. Shape Modak
Grease your palms or modak mould with ghee.
Take a small ball of milk powder dough, flatten it, place a little stuffing in the center.
Seal and shape into modak.
