Karnataka Style Pineapple Halwa | Authentic Ananas Kesari Recipe
๐ Karnataka Style Pineapple Halwa Recipe
Ingredients
Rava (semolina) – 1 cup
Pineapple (finely chopped) – 1 cup
Water – 2 cups
Sugar – 1 to 1.25 cups (adjust to sweetness)
Ghee – 4 tbsp
Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Yellow food color – a pinch (optional)
Method
1. Prep Pineapple:
Peel, chop, and cook the pineapple with a little water until soft.
Add sugar while cooking to enhance flavor. Keep aside now add food colour and saffron.
2. Roast Rava:
Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan.
Add rava and roast on low flame until aromatic and slightly golden. Keep aside.
3. Cook Halwa:
In the same pan, add water and the cooked pineapple.
Slowly add roasted rava, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
4. Add Sweetness if needed
Once the rava absorbs water, add sugar and mix well.
Stir until sugar melts and the mixture thickens.
5. Flavor & Finish:
Add cardamom powder,
Mix, cook for 2–3 minutes, and turn off the flame.
6. Serve:
Serve warm with a drizzle of ghee.
