๐ Matar Pulao Recipe | Green Peas Pulao

๐ฟ Matar Pulao Recipe (Peas Pulao)
Ingredients:
Basmati rice – 1 cup
Green peas (fresh or frozen) – 1 cup
Ghee or oil – 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Bay leaf – 1
Cloves – 2
Green cardamom – 2
Cinnamon stick – 1 small
Onion (sliced) – 1 medium
Green chili (slit) – 1 (optional)
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
Salt – to taste
Water – 2 cups
Fresh coriander – for garnish
Instructions:
1. Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes, then drain.
2. Heat ghee/oil in a pan. Add cumin, bay leaf, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon.
3. Add sliced onions and green chili. Sautรฉ until golden.
4. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
5. Add green peas and sautรฉ for 2–3 minutes.
6. Add soaked rice and mix gently.
7. Pour 2 cups water and add salt. Mix well.
8. Cover and cook on low flame until rice is done and water is absorbed.
9. Let it rest for 5 minutes, fluff gently with a fork.
10. Garnish with fresh coriander. Serve with raita or curry.
